8 Foot EZ- Access Wheelchair Ramp

Being disabled is not equivalent to a death sentence. Many handicapped individuals have a great zest for life, wanting to remain active and productive. Contrary to stereotypical beliefs, not all people in wheelchairs choose to sit around watching soap operas all day. A family, a home, and a career are an integral part of life. However, the inability to navigate barriers prevents many wheelchair-bound individuals from having the same opportunities other people take for granted. In an effort to give the physically challenged a chance to live life to the fullest, EZ-Access has a series of eight-foot ramps to make cars and buildings more accessible.

Sometimes, accessibility is only possible with portable ramps. Older buildings are too costly to renovate, and the disabled need entrance to several establishments. EZ has an 8-foot ramp made for all types of wheelchairs and scooters. With removable components, the ramp is easily transported in the back of a van. Also the lightest and most compact, the ramp has sides to prevent the manual or electric chair from slipping over the edge and possibly subjecting the handicapped to further injury. With the ramps safety features and portability, temporarily disabled individuals may want to consider checking into wheelchair ramp rentals. For the permanently impaired, the ramp is easily stored for use when an unexpected need arises.

A platform ramp, by EZ-Access is a multi-purpose ramp. However, the 8-foot version is an excellent choice for loading into a mini or full-sized van. Although having a fully equipped handicapped van with electric lifts would be nice, in reality many disabled persons have to make do with the situation at hand. Thus, a regular van is the affordable solution, coupled with an 8-foot semi-permanent ramp.

Sometimes, an average portable ramp is still not sufficient for the needs of a handicapped individual. For some, leading a very sedentary lifestyle leads to additional health concerns, like being overweight. Despite best efforts to the contrary, weight is easy to gain and extremely hard to lose. Oftentimes, becoming overweight only adds to the accessibility problem. Further restricted, life becomes an observation exercise, rather than participation. In answer to an important need, EZ has a ramp capable of sustaining 850 lbs. Thus, the ramp is sturdy enough to support a heavy electric wheelchair and the occupant. Now, even with oxygen bottles, electric components, weight capacity will no longer prevent an individual from living life, with the portable 8-foot EZ-Access ramp.

In summary, whether an individual needs a semi-permanent ramp, a portable ramp to attach to the back of a van, a ramp easy to disassemble for unexpected occasions, or a ramp capable of supporting a heavy chair and the occupant, EZ- access has the answer. Instead of watching life from the sidelines, and always cheering others, become and active and vital member of society and get the most out of life. Now longer allow inaccessible areas stop the physically challenged from enjoying the activities most people take for granted. Love life to the fullest, and live despite physical challenges.
